Geneviève Lemieux-Bijou
Owner - Lead Stylist
I’m Geneviève Lemieux-Bijou, originally from northern BC, where I was raised by parents whose incredible work ethic shaped my own drive. From a young age, I worked in their various businesses and always knew I wanted to run my own one day. My journey took me to Alberta for boarding school, where I developed a competitive edge through high-level sports, before moving to Vancouver to pursue a university basketball career. A knee injury changed my path, and I took a break to go on a life-changing mission trip to Calcutta, India, where I had the privilege of working alongside Mother Teresa. This experience deepened my appreciation for kindness, gratitude, and leading with love.
Back home, I worked as a cake decorator at Costco and later became a flight attendant. But after the tragic events of 9/11, I knew it was time for a new direction. I enrolled in hairdressing school in Montreal and graduated at the top of my class. In 2005, I moved to Morinville and began working at the Hairlodge Barbershop. Within months, I purchased the business and expanded it into a beautiful historic building. With over 20 years in the beauty industry, I’m passionate about creating personalized experiences and building lasting relationships with my clients, from their first haircut to their wedding day and beyond.

Hi, I’m a Master Stylist with decades of experience in cutting, coloring, and staying on top of ever-changing trends. Over the years, I’ve learned that quality always trumps quantity, and I pride myself on listening closely to my clients to understand exactly what they want. I love creating fresh, personalized styles that leave my clients feeling confident and beautiful. Whether it's a subtle change or a bold transformation, my goal is always to help you look and feel your best. I’m passionate about my craft and excited to continue making people shine!
Vanessa Rose Chykerda
Advanced Stylist
I’ve been passionate about the hair industry since 2020, and I’ve loved every moment of it! Specializing in both colour and cuts, I thrive on transforming my clients’ looks and making them feel their best.
Outside of the salon, I’m a farmer’s daughter, and most weekends you’ll find me back at the family farm with my dog, Chunks. My family is deeply involved in the cattle and grain industry, and I love jumping in to help, especially during our busy spring and fall seasons.
When the weather cools down, I stay active with volleyball and snowboarding. I try to make at least two trips to the mountains each winter, where my snowboarding skills are a mix of big smiles, a few face plants, and, if I’m lucky, a 360 spin!

Keyra Epp
New Talent Stylist
Hi, I’m Keyra! I started my hairstyling journey in 2023, after being inspired by my first colorful hair experience at GV’s Hair Studio in Morinville, where I now work.
Growing up, my mom’s thoughtful approach to styling influenced my own passion for creating a welcoming, caring environment for my clients. I pursued my education in Cosmetology through high school and college, gaining hands-on experience through hair shows and mentorship.
Outside of work, I’m active in my community through The Fathers House Church and love relaxing with a good book or movie on my downtime.
Our Receptionist team will be the first to welcome you to our salon and ensure you are greeted with a friendly smile and a latte.
